Wine Enthusiast
A rich, high-octane Marlborough Pinot, this offers oodles of ripe berry fruit, a touch of meaty savoriness and a sweet oak note from the get-go. A full-figured, luscious palate is lifted by nice acidity and tightened by muscular tannins. Still a baby, this is best drunk 2025–2031.
Grown on the Northern Bank of the Awatere River, the varying gravel and silt soils of Taylors Pass Vineyard create intriguing, complex wines. This sheltered vineyard site expresses aromas of ripe blackberries and blueberries with hints of subtle dried herbs. Intricately structured with velvety smooth tannins.
