La Casaccia di Franceschi: The Dual Souls of Montalcino
While La Casaccia di Franceschi is historically rooted in the traditional elegance of Brunello di Montalcino, it has recently gained significant acclaim for its high-end Super Tuscan line, released under the San Leopoldo label. This project, led by Leopoldo Franceschi (owner of the iconic Il Poggione) and his children Flavia and Federico, represents a "modern-dynamic" approach to the estate's ancient terroir.
The Super Tuscan Vision: San Leopoldo
The San Leopoldo range allows the estate to explore international varieties through the lens of Montalcino’s unique microclimate. Unlike the traditional Brunello, these wines are crafted to appeal to collectors seeking power, structure, and a more "Bordeaux-inspired" profile.
