Anthony Gismondi, Gismondi on Wine
Chateau Sancerre is a solid producer of Sancerre using a blend of fruit grown over a diverse mix of terroirs: clay-limestone, limestone, flint, and sandy clay. The combination leads to a fresh, bright, structured sauvignon, led by vibrant stony, mineral notes tempered by riper grapefruit and kiwi. It is the perfect white wine for the bounty of seafood widely available here on the West Coast, from shellfish to lighter seafood dishes, or fresh goat cheese.
Our Tradition cuvée is fine, elegant and complex. It is the perfect expression of the characteristic terroirs of the AOP Sancerre: the flint brings aging potential, structure, freshness and minerality; the white earths roundness and aromas of white flowers and exotic fruits; the limestones freshness, floral aromas and intense citrus fruits.
