Elevate Your Palate: The Jackson Family Wine Dinner 🍷
Experience an evening of precision and pedigree at SKYE Roof Bar & Brasserie. We are privileged to welcome Master Sommelier Pierre-Marie Pattieu to guide us through a sensory exploration of the Jackson Family Wines portfolio.
Beyond the Label: Did you know? The title of "Master Sommelier" is one of the most difficult certifications to achieve in the world; since its inception in 1969, fewer than 275 individuals have ever passed the final exam. Tonight is a rare opportunity to engage with that level of expertise, moving beyond tasting notes and into the "why" behind every vintage.
A Study in Terroir: The Cool-Climate
Factor:
Our featured La Crema Sealift Pinot Noir (paired with Royal Pigeon) originates from the extreme edges of the Sonoma Coast. The "Sealift" name refers to the ancient marine soils pushed upward by tectonic activity—giving the wine a unique salinity and minerality that is the hallmark of world-class Pinot Noir.
The Zinfandel Paradox:
Often misunderstood as a simple "fruit bomb," the Kendall-Jackson Vintner's Reserve Zinfandel used for our cheese course demonstrates the grape's historical roots. By sourcing from old vines, the wine gains a spicy, structural backbone that allows it to stand up to the boldest French Époisses or Roquefort.
