Marco Felluga & Russiz Superiore Wine Dinner at Citrino
A Journey Through the Soul of Collio: Heritage, Terroir, and Italian Excellence
Join us for an exceptional evening dedicated to the "Grand Old Man of Friuli." We are hosting an exclusive wine dinner featuring the legendary estates of Marco Felluga and Russiz Superiore. Set in the elegant atmosphere of Citrino, this night celebrates the pinnacle of white wine craftsmanship and the robust elegance of Italian reds.
Founded by the late Marco Felluga and now carried forward by his daughter Patrizia, these two historic estates represent the finest expressions of the Collio region. This curated 5-course menu has been designed to showcase the incredible longevity and structure of these wines, from the vibrant, floral Friulano to the sophisticated, velvet-textured Merlot.
💡 The Connoisseur’s Insight
Did you know? The Collio region, nestled against the Slovenian border, is defined by a unique soil known as "Ponca"—a mixture of marl and sandstone from the Eocene period. This mineral-rich earth is responsible for the distinct salinity and "vertical" structure found in Marco Felluga wines. While many think of Pinot Grigio as a simple aperitif, the Mongris (featured tonight) is a serious, complex wine that proves why this region produces some of the most world-renowned white wines on the planet.
