The Rosso Prephylloxera Calderara Sottana is from a 1 hectare parcel that has survived phylloxera and are thus around 130 years old and on their original rootstocks. The first vintage made was 2006 and around 6,500 bottles are made. A commanding and complex wine which decanting is suggested so the wines have time to open up and shine in the glass.
